You cannot start with more than two sims. As the story progresses, you can have more ONLY IF YOU GIVE BIRTH TO THEM. No adoptions as you are on a deserted island! Try making the sims fit the castaway theme: battered, ripped, old looking clothes. No designer clothes! For traits, I suggest

The world will spawn npcs like mailman, paperboy ect... Ignore them, they don't exsist! You can have any lot you want, any size. You can have kids, but like I said: No adoption. Pets are also allowed but only if they are strays.

You have no shelter yet so as money becomes available build a place to live. Make it look as if you built it since the island has little resources. You can get money by selling fish, rocks, produce, small animals, and finds around the land. After you get enough money, you can get an easel and paint up some money. NO ELECTRONICS! No computers, TVs, anythings electric besides cheap lights (For inside houses only!) are out of the question. BUT! There is a mod that allows your sim to write without a computer and get book money! You can get it here: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=422974 Any food you grow must come from a seed, since plating a whole head of lattice and getting another one seems illogical. For the furniture: You must have the cheapest bed, stove, ect. You can use a firepit instead of a stove, or recolor the stove to look hand made. I advise you to recolor objects to look hand made or washed up. If you have generations, use a sleeping bag for a bed. Winning and losing:
To win, You must earn 50,000 Simoleans and complete the CAS sims lifetime wish to be rescued. (Unless you want to start a nice place to live, then you can buy whatever you like!)

To lose, Your CAS sims die before you win or you never complete the lifetime wish and get 50,000.
